A charming little model of a rigged ship named 'Elizabeth'. Carved hull and sails, and even the seascape is in carved wood. Presented in a shallow case with a 19th century pine and gesso frame with brass corner mounts. A label to reverse reads - 'This was carved by Mr George Perelle of the Channel Islands, while sailing round The Horne. He used only his sailors knife'. (UK shipping £25)
