A rare Staffordshire pottery figure of a lion. This example is in very good condition, with beautiful rich painted colours. Slight loss of pigment to the end of the lion's nose, and evidence of an old firing crack to the base reverse,  but these do not distract from the decorative appeal of this highly desirable piece.
