An Edwardian signwritten panel for a greengrocer. Beautiful typography painted on thick pine. It appears the panel has been painted on both sides with the same name, suggesting that this was more likely a sign for a market stall than a shop, so that it could be hung up and seen from both sides of an open stand. This makes it a much more practical piece which could therefore easily fit into a domestic space without overpowering it. Perfect for a kitchen wall.
