A wonderful example of early 20th century folk art. A scratch-built weathervane panel in the form of a horse standing under a tree. Brass, steel, aluminium, and tinplate, soldered and rivetted together to create this idyllic rural composition. We particularly like the naive way in which the grass fronds at the horse's feet have been created, by simple diagonal cuts made into the tin sheet. Mounted for display on a recently-made bespoke stand. Height given includes stand.
